How it Happened
  • Despite the late start and hosting the match on the turf of the Jopson Athletic Complex, BC got off to a quick start. The Eagles got on the board within the first three minutes when Katherine King scored off a set piece. Cassandra Villafan inserted the set piece and found King near the net.
  • Laura Narby, Sophia Phillips, Kendall Garza, Lyric Birkley, and Villafan each took shots in the following four minutes, but were unable to find the back of the net. After a myriad of unsuccessful shot attempts, Kendall Garza, assisted by King, dribbled around the Sweet Briar goalkeeper for an easy goal.
  • Sophia Phillips received a pass from Lauran Narby and found the back of the net to give the Eagles their third goal of the match.
  • Shortly before being subbed out for the match, Katherine King scored off an assist from Lyric Birkley in the 16th minute.
  • Grace Minton scored her first goal of the season off a set piece opportunity. She was assisted by Cassandra Villafan's corner kick.
  • In the 22nd minute, Narby was fouled near the Sweet Briar goal, leading to a penalty shot taken by Birkley. Birkley was able to fake out the SBC keeper for her sole goal of the match.
  • Shortly before being subbed out for the remainder of the match, Laura Narby gave the Eagles their final goal of the half off an assist from Grace Minton.
  • Despite the lack of scoring in the final 20 minutes of the half, Sarah Farally and Brianna Curro each ripped shots, but were unable to find the back of the net.
  • Aliana Ferreira scored the first goal of the second half at the 56:13 mark off an assist from C.J. Sipling.
  • Lucy Larson was fouled hard inside the box, leading to a penalty kick taken by Hannah England in the 64th minute. England sent the shot low left for the ninth goal of the contest.
  • In the 65th minute, Lucy Larson sent a cross to Elle Turner into the box. Turner redirected the ball into the back of the net with a header to give the Eagles a double-digit lead.
  • Lucy Larson scored the final point of the night for the Eagles. Larson received an assist from CJ Sipling for her third goal of the season
