SALISBURY, Md. – Bridgewater College played Salisbury to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action.

How It Happened
- The Eagles put the first shot on goal in the 15th minute, but Lyric Birkley's low driving shot was saved by Seahawks' keeper Riley Pinato.
- Salisbury took five shots in the first 30 minutes, most from long range. Autumn Conway had the Seahawks first shot on frame, but Eagles' keeper Rylee Asiello was in position for the save.
- The Eagles took the lead in the 40th minute when Birkley scored off an assist from Cassandra Villifan.
- The Seahawks took two shots late in the half, but Asiello was there for the save on both attempts.
- Bridgewater fired off four shots early in the second half, two missed wide and Pinato saved the other two attempts.
- Salisbury then kept control in its offensive end with seven shots attempts midway through the half, but only one was on goal. The Seahawks scored the equalizer in the 75th minute on a goal by Jordan Edwards with the assist going to Ava Wheeler.
- Neither team put a shot on goal the rest of the way with the contest ending in a 1-1 draw.

- Salisbury held a 21-9 advantage in total shots, but shots on goal were much closer with Seahawks having seven compared to the Eagles five. The Eagles held a 4-3 edge in corner kick opportunities.
- Birkley's goal was her second of the season while the assist was the first this season for Villafan.
- Asiello made her first start of the season in goal and recorded six saves.
