MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Bridgewater College women's soccer team fell to Sewanee 2-0 on Saturday night.

How It Happened
- Bridgewater saw an opportunity in the opening five minutes as Skyler Daum and Laura Narby each fired shots that missed the cage. Sewanee had its first real chance in the 10th minute on a corner kick, but the first shot was blocked and the rebound chance missed wide.
- The Tigers registered the game's first shot on target midway through the opening frame, but a save by Micah Stine kept the game scoreless. Lyric Birkley returned the favor in the 35th minute, but a stop by Leah Atkins eliminated her scoring chance. Atkins came up big again in the 40th minute as Katherine king had her shot denied by the Sewanee keeper late in the half.
- BC had a chance in the 62nd minute as Narby had her shot blocked resulting in a corner kick. BC came up empty handed and Sewanne flipped the field and Mia Ramirez broke the deadlock for the Tigers as her shot found nylon and made it 1-0.
- Cassandra Villafan had a chance in the 69th minute, but her shot was turned aside by Atkins. Narby came on the charge a few moments later, but she fired over the crossbar.
- Sewanee padded the lead in the 78th minute as Brianna Fee found the back of the net to make it 2-0. BC attempted to get things going offensively after the goal, but the Tigers kept the Eagles off the shot chart before the game was called due to weather in the 87th minute.
Match Notes
- Narby led BC with four shots for the second night in a row. Daum tallied two while Katherine King, Birkley and Villafan all put one on target.
- Ramirez led Sewanee with three shots including her goal for the Tigers.
- Atkins made three saves on the three shots she saw on target. Stine made one stop on the three shots on target by Sewanee.
- Bridgewater held a 9-6 edge in shots, while the teams were tied in shots on goal at three each.
