LATROBE, PA - The Bridgewater College men's soccer team defeated Saint Vincent 3-0 to pick up its second win of the season on Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
- It was a fast start for the Bearcats earning a corner kick just 53 seconds into the game, but they could not muster a shot out of it. The teams went on to feel each other out with pressure going back and forth.
- The Eagles first chance came in the 3rd minute with a free kick, but the ball was handled and cleared by the Bearcats. Just a minute later the Eagles earned another free kick. This time Dicarlo Peredo-Torrico would go for goal, but Grant Archuleta for the Bearcats turned the shot away.
- The Eagles stayed on the front foot, but the Bearcats defense did not allow any shots keeping the game 0-0. Trey Widrick got free for a shot in the 22nd minute but Archuleta handled it easily.
- The Bearcats took their turn to apply some pressure in the 26th minute with a pair of shots from Mariano Jimenez and Oziel Bonola-Soriano but Charles Schweinefuss stopped both. The Eagles kept the pressure on and finally broke through in the 42nd minute when Lestath Savage buried his second goal of the year to put the Eagles up 1-0.
- The Eagles started the second half flying as Riley Queen found Savage for his second goal of the day in the 48th minute. The Eagles continued to apply pressure and scored their third and final goal coming from the senior John Meier.

- Savage found the back of the net twice to move his goal total to three in just two games.
- Bridgewater out shot St.Vincent 10-4 overall and won the shots on goal battle as well, 6-3.
- Schweinefuss' three saves and his defense led the Eagles to their second consecutive shutout.
