GAME 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC got on the board in a hurry as Torie Shifflett led the game off with a double in the right field gap and a base knock by Sarah Wimer brought her fellow graduate student in to score. A single by Morgan Lucas put two runners aboard and Andrea Savage singled up the middle to bring Lucas home to make it a 2-0 advantage before Ferrum got to the plate.
- Bridgewater extended the lead in the top of the fourth. The Eagles loaded the bases thanks to some miscues by the Panthers defense and another base rip from Shifflett. Kaelyn Ramsey dug in next and pushed a single through the middle allowing for Jordan Wise and Hannah Mahan to score to extend the lead. A single by Wimer loaded the bases once again and Jazmyne Smith capitalized as she reached on an error and both Ramsey and Shifflett came in to push it to 6-0 in favor of the visitors.
- The Panthers got one of their few runners on the paths in the fourth on a one-out walk by starter Brantley Swift, but the senior induced a flyout to Mahan in left and fielded a ground ball to end the inning and maintain the 6-0 lead.
- The Eagles extended the lead in the top of the fifth thanks to a pair of home runs. Mahan stepped to the plate with a runner aboard and belted one over the wall in left-center to bring in McKenna Mueller and push the lead to 8-0. Back-to-back singles from Wimer and Ramsey put two aboard with two outs in the frame and Lucas delivered with her sixth home run of the year to make it 11-0 in favor of BC.
- Swift finished the game off for Bridgewater by attacking the bottom half of the strike zone and inducing a trio of ground outs to retire the side in the fifth and end the game.

- Swift picked up the win after allowing just a pair of hits and a single walk over 5.0 innings of work.
- Wimer went 4-for-4 at the dish with a RBI and a run scored.
- Seven different Eagles recorded base knocks including Shifflett, Wimer, Ramsey, and Lucas who all racked up multiple hits in the win.

GAME 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bridgewater wasted no time on the second game as Brooklynn Fridley got aboard with a knock through the right side and almost immediately stole second base. Wimer stepped up to the plate and picked up her fifth hit on the day in as many at-bats with a single up the middle driving Fridley in to put BC in front, 1-0.
- Ferrum broke its scoreless drought in the bottom of the third as the Panthers got the leadoff runner on, but Wimer threw her out as she tried to steal second. A walk put another runner aboard and a Lynsey Sears home run pushed the runner in and put the home team ahead 2-1.
- Lucas immediately took matters into her own hands and led the top of the fourth off with a double to centerfield. Peyton Gregory subbed in to pinch-run for Lucas and was moved right away on a single by Smith to put two aboard. A single from Savage during the next at-bat drove in both Eagles to put the visiting side back in front 3-2. Mackenzie Cauthorn went to work with the lead in the bottom half of the inning and retired the Panthers in order including a pair of strikeouts.
- A Shifflett double, Wimer walk and a Lucas single loaded the bases for Smith in the top of the fifth. The first baseman hammered a ball to dead centerfield for a grand slam to give the Eagles a 7-2 advantage. FC had a chance in the bottom half of the frame with two runners on, but a pair of flyouts stifled any scoring chances.
- Smith wasn't done after the grand slam and gave Cauthorn more run support in the top of the seventh with a solo homer to right-center extending the lead to 8-2. Ferrum attempted a comeback in the bottom of the seventh and added a run, but a groundout over to Smith at first ended the contest.

- Cauthorn picked up the win after recording a complete game scattering five hits with seven strikeouts.
