How It Happened
- The Eagles applied pressure early as senior Kaia Richardson took a shot just over a minute in that found the crossbar. A few seconds later the Eagles would end up with the first corner kick of the game. Richardson would get a chance off of the corner but the door was slammed shut by Nora Greer.
- In the 10th minute junior Ashley Sabatino got a stab at it and fired a shot on net, but Greer stepped up once again for the Garnet. BC did not put another shot on net for the rest of the half.
- Swarthmore had a huge opportunity late in the first half as Rebecca Putnam subbed in and right away got a shot on goal that was saved by junior keeper Carlee Gaboury. The rebound landed right at Putnam's feet and she tried to get another shot off, but it was stopped by the heel of defender Lexi Winkler to keep the game scoreless. After a BC turnover, Kim Kockenmeister took a shot that found the nylon to put the Garnet up, 1-0.
- Almost immediately out of the break, Swarthmore had an early chance. Putnam landed a shot on goal that was saved by Gaboury as the rebound found the boot of Dani Kaufman-Sedano who one-touched it to Amelia Mounts for the second goal of the contest.
- Bridgewater had chances in the second half but were unable to convert resulting in eight goal kicks for Swarthmore in the second half alone.
- In the 83rd minute, the Garnet added to their lead as Kockenmeister and Maren Dougherty tangled in the back line drawing Gaboury out of her crease as the ball rolled into the net to make it 3-0 Swarthmore.
