FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team wrapped up action at the ITA Southeast Regional hosted by Mary Washington University on Saturday.
The Eagles opened up the day with doubles action. In the Blue A draw
Emma Nesselrodt and
Ryan Roeber fell 4-8 to a duo from Washington College. In the Blue C draw
Grace Knighton and
Malena Hoover fell by just a single service break to a team from Ursinus. In the Blue D draw
Emily Wylie and
Emily Daigneault went 1-1 on the day losing their opening match of the morning session 4-8 before taking an 8-5 victory in their last match.
In singles action Hoover was in another tight match in the Blue E draw but came up just short against Stevenson's Jacquelyn Nesbeth 6-8. Nesselrodt also finished up her singles action in the afternoon session coming up short as well 4-8 to Madison McCarty of the host school Mary Washington.
Bridgewater will wrap up the fall season on Wednesday Sept. 28 as it travels to Southern Virginia for a clash with the Knights in Buena Vista.
