BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's soccer team worked a 0-0 tie with Mary Baldwin on Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Bridgewater applied pressure early but had nothing to show for it as Mary Baldwin got the first shot off early but well off frame.
- BC out shot MBU in the first half but only put on shot on frame from John Meier in the 36th minute. Charles Schweinefuss also made a pair of stops in the opening frame.
- In the 67th minute the Eagles had one of their best opportunities of the game off of a MBU yellow card. On the ensuing free kick Trevon Phillips got a shot off but Tucker Speak stood tall for Mary Baldwin.
- Ten minutes later BC had another huge opportunity off of a free kick. Justin Scott headed a ball towards the cage but again Speak ket the game scoreless.
- In the closing second the Eagles had one last chance as Matthew Shelor took a cross and put his head to it but just wide of the frame as time expired.
Match Notes
- Despute the tie BC had plenty of chances. Speak made 10 stops for the Fighting Squirrels. Schweinefuss aded four as well for Bridgewater.
- Shelor led all players with five total shots. Phillips added four of his own as well.
- BC held a 24-10 advantage in shots and a 10-4 edge in shots on goal.
- Bridgewater also had five corner kicks compared to just three for Mary Baldwin
- The tie keeps the all-time series tied with each team holding a victory and now a tie.
