How It Happened
  • The Bridgewater attack started off early after two offsides calls in the first two minutes. A free kick off of a Bison foul set up the run to get the scoring started. • Dunbar got in on the action again as the freshman found Eric Ramirez in the ninth minute and Ramirez snuck his shot into the corner for a 2-0 BC lead and gave Dunbar his second point on the afternoon.
  • The freshman from Manassas, Va. was not done yet. Dunbar got possession after an Eagle free kick and found nylon to stretch it to a 3-0 lead for BC.
  • Trevon Phillips added a goal for Bridgewater in the 19th minute as the senior dribbled in past a Bison defender and fired to score. Less than 60 seconds later another senior James Yeboah netted his first goal of the season to extend the lead to 5-0.
  • In the 33rd minute BC added another. Aidan Paul sent a cross to Marvin Perez who fired his shot home to extend the lead to 6-0 headed to the break.
  • In the 56th minute Bridgewater goalkeeper RJ Mackey punted the ball initially planning to clear it but Elijah Coleman got the ball off of a Bison defender and carried it in and past Vershon Carter to extend the lead. Jack Leopold buried two of his three shots in the final 14 minutes to put the Eagles on top 9-0.
  • Gallaudet had a few chances to get on the board late but Eric Gessel made two stops in the final 25 minutes to complete the shutout.
