ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. – The Bridgewater College field hockey team fell to St. Mary's, 2-0, in nonconference action on Saturday night.

How It Happened:
- The Seahawks got on the board three minutes into the game as Jill Hayden scored her first goal of the season with 12:39 left in the first quarter.
- The Eagles drew four penalty corners in a row in the latter minutes of the quarter, but could not convert on any of the chances as SMC held a 1-0 lead after the first 15 minutes.
- Nether side recorded a shot on goal in the second quarter as the Seahawks led 1-0 at the break.
- Bridgewater came out shooting in the second half with four straight attempts on cage but all were pushed aside by the Seahawks goalie, Kaley Christman.
- Following the onslaught by BC, St. Mary's capitalized to set the score at 2-0 with under two minutes left in the third quarter. The Seahawks came out in the final period with 13 shots and eight of those on cage to walk away with a 2-0 win.
Match Stats:
- The Eagles finished with five shots in the game with four on target, including two from Emily Tyler and one each from Kylie Amberger and Amora Marchand.
- Madalyn Miller played all 60 minutes in the cage and stopped 11 shots on 13 that she faced. She now ranks second in the ODAC with 36 saves on the season.
