Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell short to Division II opponent Tiffin on Monday, losing 6-1.
In doubles Matthew Gordon and Noah Hughes picked up a win at the No. 3 slot, 6-3, for the lone doubles win for the Eagles. The match was played with Division II rules, so there is only one point awarded for whichever team takes the majority of the doubles matches, so it did not count in the overall score.
Canon Secord rallied from behind at the top singles spot after dropping the opening set 0-6. Secord got in front in the second 4-1 but ultimately lost in a second set tie break 6-7(5).
The lone point for BC came at the No. 6 spot where Leyton Pullin battled to a 6-3, 6-3 win in the last match on court.
Bridgewater will now enjoy two off days in Hilton Head before returning to the court to take on St. Vincent on Thursday at 9 a.m.
