How It Happened
  • In the third minute Ashley Sabatino got the scoring started. The junior dribbled in and fired a shot to the back of the net to make it a 1-0 game. She also found Skyler Daum five minutes later and Daum fired her shot to the back of the net as well to make it 2-0.
  • Kaia Richardson found the back of the net next in the 10th minute as the senior took a nice pass from Kendall Garza and dribbled it in and scored. BC added two more in the 12th minute from two different combinations. Madison Ferrone laid a pass in for Hanna Randolph and the graduate student buried her chance in the back of the net. Lyric Birkley found the back of the net 29 seconds later off of an assist from Katelyn Seagraves to make it 5-0.
  • Bridgewater scored three more in under two minutes between the 17th and 19th. Zoe Webster found Madison Crooks who scored the first of the trio. Megan Palm took a ball almost half of the field, dribbled her way into the box and scored as well. The final goal of the stretch came from Garza as Birkley found her to make it 8-0.
  • The Eagles added four more before the break. Anna Zurlo scored back-to-back goals in just under two minutes including one assisted by Taylor Thomas. Micah Stine found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal also off of the boot of Thomas. The final goal of the half came from Crooks off of a nice pass from Madeline Bohan to make it 12-0.
  • Thomas was not done on the stat sheet as the freshman scored her first collegiate goal in the 46th minute off of a pass from Allison Quick. Thomas repaid the favor a minute later finding Quick and the Stuarts Draft, Va. native scored for her first collegiate goal. Thomas added another assist in the 54th minute as she found Ferrone who scored for what was also the first goal of her collegiate career.
  • In the 62nd minute Taylor added her fifth helper of the night as she found Stine on a pass across the goal mouth to make it 16-0. Bohan and Palm did much of the same on a cross that Bohan volleyed into the back of the net for a goal. Thomas scored the final goal of the game in the 78th minute as Felisa Racinez took a shot that was blocked and Thomas deflected it into the net to make it 19-0.
