Box Score 2 MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Bridgewater College softball team lost two games to Pfeiffer in non-conference action on Sunday in North Carolina.
Bridgewater 1, Pfeiffer 7
The Eagles and Falcons were scorless entering the bottom of the fourth. Pfeiffer was able to string together a six-run inning to pull ahead from the Eagles.
The home team added one more run in the bottom of the fifth to make it 7-0. Bridgewater was able to put a run up on the board when Torie Shifflett pulled the Falcons' attention attempting to steal second giving Katrina Martin the opportunity to cross home.
Avery Pinder had two hits for Bridgewater. Brantley Swift allowed four hits from the circle and three earned runs with four strikeouts. Keirsten Kennedy pitched the final two innings, allowing three hits.
Bridgewater 1, Pfeiffer 2
Pfeiffer scored early in the bottom of the second for a 1-0 edge and added another run in the bottom of the fourth for the 2-0 advantage. Despite outhitting the Falcons, the Eagles were only able to score one run in the top of the sixth after Pfeiffer walked Sarah Wimer with the bases loaded.
Wimer paced the Eagles with two hits. Emma Killion pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and one earned run.
The Eagles now move to 10-10 on the year. The team plays their final regular season games on Tuesday when they hot Randolph-Macon for a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m.
