LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College football team dropped an ODAC contest to Washington & Lee 17-0 on Saturday in Lexington.

The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater 0, Washington & Lee 17
• Records: Bridgewater (3-5, 0-4 ODAC), Washington & Lee (6-1, 4-0 ODAC)

How It Happened

• After a scoreless first quarter, the Generals got on the board before the half on a Josh Breece rush for 11 yards to the endzone. The successful extra point attempt gave W&L the 7-0 lead heading into the half
• The Generals began the second half with a 13 play, 72 yard drive that resulted in Breece's second run to the endzone of the day
• After an interception against Bridgewater, the Eagles were able to hold the Generals to a field goal on their own two yard line to make it 17-0
• Bridgewater failed to advance the ball into W&L terriority in the second half, unable to provide an answer for the top-ranked Generals

Game Notes 

• Brett Tharp recorded a career-high 23 total tackles
• Dustin Green and Nazeer Jordan both posted nine tackles
• Matt Lawton threw for 68 yards with nine completions 
• Ronald Robinson Jr. led the Eagles on the rushing side of the ball with 35 total yards
• Viante Tucker caught five passes for 43 yards on nine attempts
• Washington & Lee secured 23 first downs compared to Bridgewater's seven
