Game One: Bridgewater 6, Roanoke 3

The Eagles scored the first run of the game in the first inning when Stephanie Carroll crossed home on a Maroon throwing error. That left the bases loaded for Mikalia Guard, who would hit a RBI single to send Kaitlyn Tirona home for a 2-0 Eagle advantage.

Morgan Landes put Bridgewater back on top in the fourth with an RBI sacrifice in foul territory to bring Torie Shifflett home for a 3-2 lead. The Maroons added another run in the bottom of the fourth on a RBI single to right field to even the score again at 3-3.

Bridgewater piled on three more runs in the fifth, starting with a Sarah Wimer RBI single to right field to send Carroll across the plate for the second time. Guard added another RBI on a hit up the middle and would score herself on a Carolyn Campbell RBI to left center.

The Eagles would not allow the Maroons any more hits to take the game 6-3.
