Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Bridgewater College put
forth a furious second-half rally Saturday afternoon but the
comeback effort fell just short as Virginia Wesleyan held on for a
12-10 victory over the Eagles.
"We fell behind 9-4 at the half, but we made a strong comeback
in the second half," Bridgewater College head coach Kathy Kerr
said. "The team showed a lot of heart."
Kate Moulton and Leslie Crawford led the Eagles attack with
three goals each. Megan Bach scored two goals and Erin Cartwright
contributed four assists. BC goalkeeper Colleen Schwind finished
the contest with 14 saves.
The Eagles, now 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the ODAC, will travel to
Hilton Head, S.C., for a match against Trine University on Tuesday,
Mar. 9.
