Kathy Kerr will begin her fifth season as the assistantfield hockey coach and the women's head lacrosse coach atBridgewater College.

Kerr was the head coach at King's College in Wilkes-Barre,Pennsylvania. She was named head coach at King's during the summerof 2001. The lacrosse program showed improvement in each of Kerr'sfour seasons. Her first team finished with a 3-12 record. In hersecond year, the team finished 5-10, tying the college record formost wins in a season. The 2004 posted the first winning record incollege history at 8-6 and this past season the team finished 11-7and qualified for the conference playoffs for the first time incollege history.

Kerr's teams also displayed excellence in the classroom. While atKing's, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Associationrecognized her team as the top-ranked program in Division III witha 3.49 grade point average. In all divisions, King's GPA was secondonly to Stanford's. This past season, Kerr's Bridgewater team wasone of 62 Division III teams to earn the acadmic team honor fromthe IWLCA.

Prior to her head coaching stint at King's, Kerr was an assistantwomen's lacrosse coach at Marymount University. She also coached atThomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology for fourseasons.

Kerr is a 1996 graduate of NCAA Division I Cornell University whereshe earned her degree in American Government and was a member ofthe lacrosse team. Kerr continued her education at the Universityof Maryland where she earned a Master's degree in Sport Studies(Sociology of Sport).
