EMORY, Va. - For the first time this season, the Bridgewater Eagles women's tennis team picked up victories in two straight matches, this time defeating Emory & Henry by an 8-1 score in ODAC action.

Senior Megan Mathias won her sixth singles match of the Spring with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jill Williams at number one singles.

BC dropped it's lone match of the day at number two doubles when Olivia Stone fell by a 6-0, 7-5 tally.

Alissa Michael and Morgan McGhee were both 6-0, 6-1 winners at number three and four, respectively.

Sophomore Ally McConaughy and fellow sophomore Emily Schweitzer both won shortened format matches at number five and six to seal the victory for the Eagles.

With the victory already in hand, the Eagles swept the doubles matches, led by a pair of 8-5 wins at number one and two.

The tandem of McConaughy and Schweitzer turned in their team-leading ninth win of the Spring with an 8-1 win at number three.

Bridgewater is back in action on Thursday when the squad travels to Lynchburg for an ODAC showdown with the Hornets.
