Bridgewater College swept a non-conference doubleheader
Saturday, defeating Southern Virginia 8-0 in both games.
In the opener the Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the second on Elizabeth
Smith's two-run single.
The Eagles made it 3-0 in the fifth when Ann Komara singled home a
run before BC put the game away with five runs in the sixth. Amamda
Bradley plated a pair of runs in the sixth with a single.
Summer Ramsey went the distance on the mound to pick up the
victory. She allowed just three base hits, struck out three and did
not walk a batter.
In the second game, BC scored five in the third with Mallory
Sandridge's two-run single highlighting the inning.
Lindsay Lam picked up the victory on the mound, allowing just two
hits while striking out seven.
