Prior to Bridgewater, coached at Allegheny College from 2018-2021, also on head coach Ashley Hughes' staff.

While at Piedmont, Bereit helped the Lions to a 20-15 overall record, and 8-4 mark in USA South Conference play. The Lions advanced to the USA South finals both seasons, while a total of 12 players earned all-conference accolades under Bereit's watch. She was a four-year lacrosse standout at Shenandoah. A midfielder and two-year team captain, she was a four-time all-conference honoree and finished her career with 166 goals, 76 assists, and 242 points, good for second all-time in program history. As a freshman in 2012, Bereit was named the USA South Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, and was a First-Team All-USA South and All-Academic honoree. She was Second Team All-ODAC as both a sophomore and a junior, and was named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team after leading the Hornets to the ODAC semifinals in 2013. Â
