Bridgewater College softball team's head coach Megan Pleskovic has announced the addition of Delaney Nuckols to the staff as the assistant coach. 

Nuckols studied at Randolph College earning her bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science in May 2022. Nuckols later received her master's degree from Randolph in Coaching and Sport Leadership in 2023.  

During her time at Randolph, Nuckols was named captain for two years.  Her athletic career was highlighted by many accolades and recognition. Nuckols was selected to ODAC first team all-conference at shortstop for back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023. Academically, Nuckols was selected to VaSID Academic All-State in 2023 and was on the All-ODAC Academic Team for four consecutive years. 

"I am beyond thrilled that Delaney has joined our staff," said head coach Megan Pleskovic. "Her experience as a decorated player and her passion for the game made her stand out as someone who could help us achieve our program goals."

Recently, Nuckols spent her last year of eligibility at Christopher Newport where she started 38 games for the Captains. She was also named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team with CNU in 2023.
