Biography

2013: Closed his career with a solid senior year...hit for a .381 average with 43 hits...scored 23 runs, finished with 17 RBIs...named to ODAC All-Tournament team.

2012: Hit for a .231 average in a reserve role...also made two appearances on the mound...struck out four in two innings of relief vs. Baptist Bible (3/14).

2011: Hit .214 in limited at-bats...had six hits with one double in 28 at-bats...made eight appearances on the mound with one start...was 1-2 with a 4.97 ERA...struck out seven batters in 12.2 innings pitched...picked up his first career win with one hitless inning of relief in a 14-5 win over Guilford (4/17)...drove in two runs in a 10-2 win over Hampden-Sydney (3/5).

2010: Saw limited playing times...was 1-for-3 at the plate and made three pitching appearances out of the bullpen...made first career pitching appearance vs. CNU (3/30)...had first career base hit in a 25-3 win at E&H (4/2).

High School: Played at Spotsylvania H.S. where team won district title...named all-region honorable mention.

Personal: Son of Delma and Debbie Armstrong...siblings Christopher and Christina...majoring in physics...born Feb. 15, 1991.
