Biography

2018: made 13 appearances on the mound and started seven games...finished with a 3-2 record and a 4.96 ERA...second on the team in innings pitched with 49.0.

2017: made 11 appearances on the mound and started eight games...finished with a 3-2 record, one save and a 5.45 ERA...had his best outing of season in a win over ODAC champion Roanoke with seven shutout innings while allowing just four hits.

2016: Returned from arm surgery to make seven appearances...posted a 1-0 record.

2015: Missed season due to injury.

2014: Made 11 appearances on the mound with five starts...posted a 3-1 record with a 1.40 ERA...allowed 31 hits in 38.2 innings...struck out 29 batters and walked 17...picked up first college win on Feb. 23 when he pitched seven innings vs. Juniata and allowed no earned runs on two hits.

High School:Second-team all-district pitcher as a senior...honor student.

Personal: Son of Brian and Wendy Showalter...brother Jesse.
