How It Happened
-
Sewanee struck early as a loose ball in the attacking end found the stick of Catherine Crane, and she found the back of the net to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead on the game's first shot. Bridgewater struck back as they got pressure in the Sewanee end. Abigail Mundhenk had her first shot blocked, but she corralled the rebound and put her second effort to the back of the net to even the game at 1-1. BC had a pair of penalty corners following the goal, but mustered just one shot off the chances, and that was blocked.
-
The Tigers started the second quarter on the front foot, including a pair of shots, but a save by Ashley Nau kept the game tied. Bridgewater flipped the field and was on the offensive for the remainder of the quarter. BC had a pair of shots not reach the target before Carynn Klingler put a shot on target off a penalty corner, but a Tiger save kept the game knotted heading to the intermission.
