BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to John & Wales 5-2 on Tuesday.

JWU opened by taking the doubles point, but not without resistance. Matthew Leonard and Corey Beshoar made quick work at the top spot, winning 6-1, but the Wildcats took wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to take a 1-0 advantage in the match score.

The Eagles picked up two points in singles play as Beshoar battled through a tight first set on the way to a 6-4, 6-2 win at the top spot. Coree Nicely also got BC on the board in a break fest with a 7-5, 6-3 win at the No. 6 spot. Leonard and Gordon put up good battles at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in their final collegiate matches, falling 4-6, 2-6 and 3-6, 2-6.

The Eagles wrap up the regular season with a 4-13 record and a 2-6 mark in ODAC play.
