STAUNTON, Va. - Freshman
Willow Wright named MOP honors over fences as the Eagles fell in a tight 4-6 decision to Sewanee on Friday.
Wright got the Eagles on the board in the flat portion that opened the event. Wright's 70 made it a 4-1 Sewanee lead heading to fences.
The rookie put up an 88 in the fences portion of the event to claim a point for BC. Margaret brown tallied a point for the Eagles with her 85 on Eddy and
Madeleine Granger tallied one as well. Margarita Turkhina earned a solid 82, but a tough draw saw her matched up with the Tigers highest scorer to clinch the win outright for Sewanee.
BC is in action tomorrow against Berry in the NCEA Meet of the Week in Staunton.
