ASHLAND, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's lacrosse team fell to Randolph-Macon 18-4 on Saturday in ODAC action.

How It Happened
- Randolph-Macon opened the game with two quick tallies in the game's opening two minutes. BC fought off a penalty, but the field continued to be tilted in RMC's favor with two more goals for the Yellow Jackets to take a 4-0 lead under seven minutes in. BC got a shot off after a turnover caused by Jackson Wicker , but a turnover handed it back to RMC. The Yellow Jackets fired multiple shots towards the end of the frame and put none on target. A penalty by committed by the home team gave BC a man-advantage as the quarter came to a close.
- BC fired three shots to open the second quarter including a chance by CJ McKnight that was turned away by Jack Twomey. RMC added on to the lead and cashed in on empty possessions from the Eagles to extend the lead to 7-0 halfway through the second. BC won the following faceoff and got on the board as Issac Beals cashed in on a feed from Tyler Pinto to get BC in the goal column. RMc took the momentum back with a pair of scores late in the quarter to take a 9-1 advantage at the half.
- The third quarter was all RMC as it started off with a quick score in the half's opening 90 seconds. Failed clears and turnovers plagued the Eagles and led to a pair of quick tallies by the Yellow Jackets to push the margin to 12-1. Another failed clear by BC led to three quick goals by the Yellow Jackets in the final stages of the third quarter to take a 15-1 edge after 45 minutes of play.
- Bridgewater truck first in the fourth quarter a Owen Cogan buried his shot 37 seconds into the frame. RMC looked to respond but a RMC turnover forced by Colin Chizmar led to a quick tally from Jake Wagner to make it 15-3. RMC struck fast in response and added an insurance tally to extend the lead back to 17-3, but a goal by Alex Garbarino on a dish from Luke Wendler got BC back in business. One final goal by the Yellow Jackets in the final two minutes and change sealed the deal for RMC.
Match Notes
- Four different Eagles accounted for the BC tallies as Wagner and Wendler each registered four shots each. Wallman made nine saves in goal for Bridgewater and Pinto caused four turnovers to lead the defense.
- Logan Sinsebox and Avery Tankersly led the way for RMC with four goals each. Twomey made nine saves in the cage for the Yellow Jackets
- RMC led the shot battle 43-28 and was 2-of-3 on the man advantage while BC was 0-for-4.
