STAUNTON, Va. – The Bridgewater College Equestrian team fell to Centenary 6-4 in the program's first ever home NCEA event.
Centenary opened up by taking the first two points over fences in very sloppy conditions before
Madeleine Granger and Margarita Turkhina got BC on the scoreboard with their rides. Centenary grabbed the final point over fences to take the lead to the flat.
The Cyclones took the first three points on the flat, but it did not stop BC as
Jimena Garcia Nunez and Granger grabbed points for the Eagles led by Garica Nunez's 83 to earn her Most Outstanding Performer on the flat portion of the competition.
The Eagles are back in action on Oct. 18 at Lynchburg.
