The Basics
Final Score: Bridgewater 2, Washington Adventist 2
Records: Bridgewater 4-1-3; Washington Adventist 0-2-0
How It Happened
- Bridgewater was able to march down the field and Anthony Medrano fired a shot in the opening minute, but it was turned away by Gregorio Capponi in goal for the Shock. WAU flipped the field and applied pressure, and it paid off as Linus Schomann broe past the BC defense and buried his shot in the back of the net to make it 1-0 for the Shock.
- The Eagles kept working despite trailing. Riley Queen fired a shot on frame that was turned aside and so did Gavin Kast and Medrano, but all of their shots were saved by Capponi. WAU had a chance late in the fourth as a through-ball got past the BC back line and Ben Cooksley buried his shot to make it 2-0 for the visitors heading to the half.
- BC had a chance early in the half, but Widrick's shot was saved by Capponni. The Eagles kept the pressure on, and it paid off as a quick sequence saw Queen find Kast open and he scored to get the BC on the board at 2-1 in the 52nd minute.
- The Eagles maintained possession for much of the time following the goal and the persistence paid off as some nifty foot work from Alex Raudales got him space in the box. Raudales fired from short range and scored to even the score with 27 minutes to play. BC kept the pressure on and Widrick fired a shot at the far side post, but it was topped by a diving effort from Capponi to secure the draw.
