LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's soccer team locked up a spot in the ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament with a 4-2 victory over Randolph on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Bridgewater got on the offensive early. With a shot on goal that was turned aside by Rachel Fields in goal for Randolph. The pressure paid off in the fourth minute as Laura Narby found Lyric Birkley and the Ohio native connected to make it 1-0 for BC.
- Randolph had its first offensive chance in the eighth minute, but Rylee Asiello turned it aside. The Eagles flipped the field and added to the tally as Narby and Birkley connected again to make it 2-0, 15 minutes in. BC tagged on another quick goal as Katherine King took a penalty kick and fired it to the back of the net to make it 3-0 in the 23rd minute.
- The Eagles ended up with another opportunity from the penalty kick dot and capitalized in the 30th minute as Skyler Daum made it 4-0 in the opening half. BC had more chances just before the break as Giavanna Ciardullo and Micah Stine both had their shots turned away by Fields.
- BC kept rolling as Kendall Garza had a chance that missed wide in the opening minutes of the second half. Randolph ended up with a PK attempt of their own in the 61st minute as Keghan Marion found the back of the net on her shot. BC went back to work and a flurry of shots in the WildCats end but did not find Nylon. Randolph was able to cut into the lead late with a strike from Carlynne Wright, but the damage was already done.
Match Notes
- Narby kept her offensive hot streak going with a pair of assists after a two-goal game on Wednesday. Birkley's pair of tallies moves her to sixth in program history with 29 career goals and moves her career points to tally to 74.
- Daum's goal puts her at 27 career tallies and 72 career points to sit just behind Birkley in Each category on the all-time lists.
- Fields made 10 saves for the WildCats while Asiello made three stops for the Eagles.

The Eagles have earned the seventh seed in the upcoming ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament and will head south to Lynchburg to take on the second-seeded Lynchburg Hornets on Tuesday at a time to be announced tomorrow. The Eagles and Hornets worked to a 1-1 draw back on Oct. 23 in the valley.
