SALEM, Va. -- The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team traveled to No. 16 Roanoke on Saturday afternoon and dropped a 23-2 contest.

Records: Bridgewater 9-7, 4-3 ODAC; Roanoke 14-2, 7-1 ODAC

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Roanoke started off strong with 11 goals in the first quarter and added on four more in the second to hold onto a 15-0 lead at halftime.
• The Maroons tallied six more goals in the third and led 21-0 after 45 minutes.
• Madeline Magill got the Eagles on the board with a goal with 10:43 on the clock and Lauren Roberts tacked on a second goal with just under eight minutes to go in the game.

GAME STATS

• Magill and Roberts scored the lone goals for the Eagles. Roberts also had two draw controls and two ground balls.
• Faith Bartos also grabbed two draws. 
• Roberts, Magill, Annika Benson and Grace Pietro all caused a turnover. 
• Rachael Robinson stopped six shots.
