BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team earned a 20-3 win against Eastern Mennonite in nonconference action at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bridgewater got on the board first just 15 seconds into the contest as Aunnie Hacker found the back of the net off an assist from Ashley Venit. The Eagles added to the lead as Lauren Roberts and Annika Benson both scored as BC went ahead 3-0 with 11:20 left on the clock. Grace Pietro, Roberts and Venit made the score 6-0 before Kaity Petersheim and Kaitlyn Clark scored to put the Eagles up 8-0 with three minutes left in the first. Alex Palizzi netted the Royals' first goal of the evening before Kena Gresham made it 9-1 for the end of the opening period.Â
- Madeline Magill put the Eagles in double figures with the 10th goal of the night as Faith Bartos and Benson each tallied scores in the second quarter. Aaliyah Lawhorne added another score for the visitors as BC held on to a 12-2 lead at halftime.Â
- Delaney Kerns scored the first goal of the second half before Caris Cianelli scored her first of the night, 14-2. Petersheim, Roberts and Magill all scored as Bridgewater mounted an 17-2 advantage.Â
- Hacker scored another, this time off an assist from Roberts, as Cianelli registered her second of the evening and Clark scored off a pass from Roberts to make the score 20-2. Cindy Argueta-Rivas tallied a goal near the end of the contest to get to the final of 20-3.
MATCH STATS
- Hacker finished with two goals and three assists, while Roberts registered a hat trick and a pair of assists to go with five draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover.
- Venit and Gresham each had three points, while Petersheim, Magill, Benson, Clark and Cianelli all had a two-point game.Â
- Pietro, Bartos, Kerns and Jenna Entsminger all added in a point in the win.
- Hacker, Lindsay Davis and Aubrey Beale contributed two caused turnovers each as the team finished with 16 total CTs.Â
- Davis picked up three ground balls, while Kerns, Entsminger, Cianelli, Bartos, Emily Dell and Rachael Robinson all had two apiece.
- Robinson finished the night with five saves in all 60 minutes, while Cristal Narciso was forced to stop 13 shots in the loss.Â
- Bridgewater outshot its cross-town rivals 41-10, while holding a 27-12 edge in ground balls.Â
