HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team fell 5-4 to assumption on Monday morning.
The Eagles fell behind 2-1 after doubles action as
Emily Daigneault and
Emily Wylie won by default at the No. 3 spot.
Malena Hoover and
Grace Knighton battled at the No. 2 spot but fell short 4-8.
In singles action, Ryan Rober and Wylie picked up wins by default and Knighton added a 6-3, 2-1 ret. victory at the No. 4 spot. The Greyhounds swept the top half of the ladder to secure the victory.
The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday as they battle Wartburg. Action is set to start at 9 a.m. in Hilton Head.Â
