FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Bridgewater College equestrian team was defeated by NCEA single discipline's No. 4 Sacred Heart 7-2 on Saturday.

In the fences portion Jimena Garcia Nunez picked up the sole point edging out her opponent by a wide margin of 74-50. Kelsey Quinn, Madeleine Granger and Delaney Broderick all fell by a margin of three points or less.

Mackenzie Bingham took picked up a point in the flat event with a slight advantage over her opponent of 68-66.

The competition total saw Sacred Heart beat out BC by 27 points with a final score of 627-600.

Bridgewater will wrap up its fall season tomorrow as the team travels north to take on No. 2 Dartmouth.
