Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team took part in the Randolph-Macon Invitational on Saturday in their final event before the ITA Southeast Regional.
Every BC player picked up at least one victory on the day.
Chase Pullin picked up his first collegiate win as he teamed up with
Matthew Leonard for a 8-5 win over Dunlap/Doyle from Randolph-Macon.
Leonard also added a singles win over doyle in a tight proset 8-7(5).Â
Ryan Briggman also picked up his first collegiate win in doubles action as he and
Nicholas Arnold cruised to a 8-3 win over Hales and Adaire from Randolph-Macon. Briggman finished 2-1 on the day in doubles including another win in doubles action with
Noah Hughes.
Arnold came extremely close in both of his singles matches in notching his first collegiate singles win but fell short in two tiebreaks.Â
Coree Nicely continued the day of firsts with his first collegiate singles win 8-3.Â
Bryce Cline went 3-0 on the day in doubles competition as the junior teamed up with Briggman, Nicely and Hughes.
Mark Gordon and
Gabe Elder continued their doubles success as the duo picked up a win over a duo from Marymount 8-3 to beging the day.
Bridgewater will be back in action on Sep. 30 as it opens the ITA Southeast Regional in Fredericksburg, Va.
