BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Lauren Roberts set a new Bridgewater College single-game record with 13 draw controls as the BC women's lacrosse team rolled over Randolph, 20-4, at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Friday afternoon.
Roberts, who leads the ODAC by a wide margin with 81 draw controls on the season, broke the game record originally held by Dwyer Neal and Kayla O'Sullivan (9). Roberts surpassed 100 career draw controls in Friday's victory and moved into seventh in team history for the category. In addition, the Eagles tied a team game record with 22 draw controls against the WildCats.

How It Happened
- Bridgewater got off to a fast start as Madeline Magill scored in the first 30 seconds of the contest to put the Eagles up 1-0. Allison Burris followed with a goal two minutes later and Roberts extended the lead to 3-0 with under eight minutes remaining in the first.
- Randolph was able to get two goals back to set the score at 3-2 with seven minutes to go in the opening frame, but Annika Bencon and Roberts added back-to-back tallies to finish the quarter with a 5-3 lead.
- Magill and Caris Cianelli added another two goals early in the second before the WildCats scored two of their own to keep the game close at 7-4 with 6:47 on the clock.
- Bridgewater netted the next three goals, including scores from Ashley Venit and Aunnie Hacker, to send the game to halftime with BC in front 10-4.
- Randolph was unable to score again as the Eagles finished out a 13-0 scoring run to walk away with a 20-4 victory.
Match Notes
- Magill and Petersheim each netted hat tricks, while Petersheim also pitched in an assist.
- Roberts finished with two goals and three assists to go with her team-record 13 draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover.

- Bridgewater held a 22-5 edge in draw controls, while outshooting RC 34-13 and a 19-10 advantage in ground balls.
