WINCHESTER, Va. – The Bridgewater College baseball team dropped its game to No. 14 Shenandoah this afternoon with a score of 13-4.

How It Happened

• The Hornets jumped on the Eagles early in this one scoring six runs in the first three innings.
• Shenandoah added two more in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the seventh to take a 13-0 lead after seven frames.
• Bridgewater got on the board in the eighth inning on an RBI single from Jeffrey Snider who drove in Ben Anderson on the hit.
• The team scored three more runs in the ninth. Jonathan Sexton reached on an error that allowed Isaiah Blanks and Lucas Bauer to score on the play to make it a 10-run lead for the Hornets.
• BC scored one more on an RBI single from Zach Coburn that drove in Sexton.

Match Notes

• The Eagles used eight different pitchers in the game. Waring Garber pitched 1.1 innings, James Swart 0.2, Nick Griffin pitched two, Bowe Rogers one, Tanner Ray 1.1, Caleb Penner 0.1, Evan Gagne threw one and Jared Peake finished it off with 0.1 innings.
• Snider went 3-5 with an RBI at the plate.
• Sexton had an RBI and scored a run.
• Anderson went 2-2.
• Coburn went 1-2 with an RBI earning his first collegiate hit and RBI.
