Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team picked up a 5-4 win over Guilford on Sunday for the squads first ODAC win of the season.
The Eagles opened up the match by taking a 2-1 advantage in doubles action.
The duo of junior Emma Nesselrodt and freshman Grace Knighton teamed up for an 8-4 win at the No. 2 spot for the Eagles. Senior Emily Daigneault and sophomore Ryan Roeber teamed up at the No. 3 spot for an 8-1 win to round out doubles play.
The bottom half of the ladder proved to be the Eagles strength again as they swept the bottom three matches of the contest.
Nesselrodt picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 while Roeber did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5.
Knighton rounded out singles action as she went on to win at the No. 6 spot after her opponent had to retire due to injury.
With the win the Eagles move to 6-4 on the year and 1-3 in ODAC competition.
BC will be back in action on March 30 to host Virginia Wesleyan at home. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
