FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Bridgewater College baseball team lost to Mary Washington Tuesday afternoon by a score of 7-4.

The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 4, Mary Washington – 7
• Records: Bridgewater (11-5); Mary Washington (10-6)

How It Happened

• The Eagles scored quickly in the top of the first on an RBI single to right field by Kevin Navedo. For Navedo, he earns his 100^th career RBI on the play, putting the squad ahead 1-0.
• Mary Washington tied the game at one a piece in the bottom of the first on an RBI single from Ty Lowe.
• Bridgewater regained the lead in the fourth on a sac fly from Tanner Montgomery, driving in Brandan Hartman from third base. 
• Mary Washington scored six in the bottom of the fourth, blowing the game open putting them up 7-2.
• Bridgewater inched closer scoring in the sixth on a passed ball, Hunter Clever came around to score.
• The final run would come in the eighth on another passed ball that allowed Tharp to score all the way from first. That would be it for the Eagles as they would fall 7-4.

Match Notes

• Navedo and Montgomery each drove in runs for the Eagles.
• Timothy Hopson and Navedo each went 2-4.
• Holdyn Ambrose started on the mound and pitched 3.1 innings, Bowe Rogers 2.2 innings, and Nick Griffin pitched 2.0 for the Eagles.
