  • After a scoreless first two minutes in double overtime, EMU took the lead on an open layup. Right after sinking a free throw from being fouled grabbing a defensive rebound, Nettles completed an impressive driving layup for an and-one opportunity to help the Eagles go up 64-62. The Royals responded with another layup to tie the contest yet again and force a third overtime period
  • Alsberry made a layup before blocking a Royals shot to open the third overtime period before Pick was fouled at the baseline. She sank both from the charity stripe to make it a two-possession game at 68-64. EMU sank a well-contested three to come back within one at 68-67 before a driving Pick found the basket to put BC up by three. With just over a minute to play, the Royals closed the gap to two points on a jump shot and found themselves at the line after an Eagles foul.
