Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater women's tennis team opened its season on Tuesday falling to No. 9 Washington and Lee, 9-0.
The Generals made quick work in doubles play as all three flights did not drop a game securing 8-0 victories across the board.
In singles play the Eagles also had a tough task but had some good fights despite the score lines. Junior Malena Hoover fell to Gabi Moss 6-0, 6-0 in a close match. W&L's Moss came into the match ranked No. 11 in the country in women's singles.
Sophomore Ryan Roeber also had game points in her match but ultimately fell short at the number five spot 6-0, 6-0.
The Eagles fall to 0-1 and 0-1 in ODAC play.
BC will be back in action for its home opener on Feb. 21 as they host nearby Mary Baldwin. Action is set to start at 3 p.m.
