- Bridgewater had only totaled two shots on goal heading to the closing stages of the first half. in the 43rd minute BC had a corner kick that was taken by Hanna Randolph. The kick sailed over the box and Maren Dougherty corralled it and sent it to Lyric Birkley who volleyed it into the back of the net to give BC a 1-0 advantage heading to the break.
- The Eagles cranked up the pressure in the early stages of the second half. Almost immediately after the kick off, a yellow card was given to one of the Hornets giving BC a chance in a dangerous spot. Birkley got a shot off but just cleared the cross bar.
- Gaboury had to make a pair of saves in short time in the 59th minute. Bridgewater flipped the script taking the ball down the field and Kendall Garza took a one-timer but Karissa Dominick made the stop. McGee got possession not long after as the ball changed hands. McGee took a shot from just outside the box and scored to knot the game on a shot vaguely similar to what Shenandoah scored on the last time the two matched up.
- BC had a chance to break the tie in the final minutes and Madison Crooks got a shot off but it was just over the top of the goal.
- In the first overtime period the Hornets had an early opportunity but Gaboury made a save. BC had a corner kick at the halfway point and Ashley Sabatino flicked it on net but Dominick just got enough of it to keep it from going in the goal.
- In the second overtime BC had an early chance in the opening minutes. Off of a corner kick, Skyler Daum got a shot off but it was blocked by a defender on the door step. Birkley had two chances as well but one was blocked and in the closing seconds her final shot sailed high sending the game to PKs.
- In the PKs, neither side could gain an edge until the fifth and final round. Kaia Richardson had the shot on her foot after a hard fought day but was not able to squeeze it past the Hornets' goalkeeper leaving the game in the hands of the Hornets. Kristina Skulte and Megan Byle dueled with Skulte finding the back of the net to allow the Hornets to advance.
