BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Bridgewater College field hockey team closed out the regular season on Senior Day against No. 18 Washington and Lee at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Saturday.

Records: Bridgewater 6-9, 3-5; Washington and Lee 14-2, 7-1 ODAC
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The first period of play went by without much action as the game remained scoreless. The Eagles did have a close chance coming off a penalty corner as Carynn Klingler's shot was stopped by a defender before crossing the goal line.
- WLU added two scored in the second quarter from Alexis Parks and Peyton Tysinger to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
- The Generals put another one in the net in the third as Betty Boatwright found a lose ball near the cage and put it in, 3-0. BC had another chance in the third as Daphne Daymude's shot was kicked aside by the WLU goalie.
- Washington and Lee commanded the final quarter and walked away with a 3-0 win.
MATCH FACTS
	- The Eagles honored its seniors before the game as Meghan Bailey, Kelli Mullen and Meredyth Rankin were all recognized pregame. 
- The Eagles were held to two shots in the game but both were on target. 
- Madalyn Miller made five saves in the loss, while Harley Hoffman played the second half and stopped three shots. Abby Long made one save in the win.
UP NEXT
Today concluded the team's regular season. The Eagles will await finals from around the league as to the seedings in the upcoming ODAC Tournament.
