Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's basketball fell to the visiting Quakers of Guilford College, 61-43, on Saturday afternoon in Nininger Hall.

How It Happened
- The game had a slow offensive start with both teams taking shot clock violations before attempting a shot. Guilford took a 7-4 advantage with 13 minutes to play in the half when Andy Pack brought the Eagles within two on a layup off a pass from Aaron Oates. After Guilford took another three point lead at 9-6, the two reversed roles as Oates drilled a three thanks to a dish from Pack to tie the game with 12 minutes left in the first half
- Neither team took more than three point edge until the nine minute mark when a Guilford three gave the visitors a 17-11 edge. Bridgewater brought it back to within two, going on a 6-2 run in a stretch that featured buckets from Oates and Shod Smith, as well as three rebounds by Alec Topper. The Eagles could not find the basket for the remaining four minutes of play and entered the locker room down 26-17
- Bridgewater slowly chipped away at the Guilford lead in the second frame after a 10-0 run and an exclamation three pointer by Zach Hatter to make it 33-31 with 12 minutes to play
- Topper grabbed an offensive rebound and put back with 11 minutes left to make it 37-33. From there, the contest turned into a fouling frenzy with Bridgewater picking up 14 in the second half alone. Guilford capitlized on the situation and separated themselves from the Eagles, ultimately keeping the momentum for the remainder of the contest for the 61-43 win

- Topper posted a career high 16 rebounds with ten being on the defensive side of the ball. The sophomore added nine points
- Oates led the Eagles in scoring with 11 points and six rebounds
- Pack contributed eight points, five rebounds and two assists, while Smith had eight points, five rebounds and three assists
- Hatter added seven points from the bench
- Four different Eagles picked up four fouls
- Bridgewater shot 75% from the charity stripe compared to Guilford's 68.2%
