ASHLAND, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's soccer team edged out Randolph-Macon, 1-0, in conference play on Tuesday evening.

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 1, Randolph-Macon – 0
• Records: Bridgewater (12-1-2, 5-0-2 ODAC); Randolph-Macon (6-8-0, 3-4-0 ODAC)
• Bridgewater is now third in the ODAC with 17 points, trailing only Lynchburg, and Virginia Wesleyan.

How It Happened

• In the 57^th minute, Destiny Zapata scored her second goal of the year that was unassisted after a back-and-forth game.
• Randolph-Macon couldn't gather enough offense to strike against the Eagles, resulting in a 1-0 win for BC.

• Shots were tied at 13, (5-3 BC advantage in shots on goal), with the Yellow Jackets holding a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• For Zapata, this is her second game winning goal this year.
• Sydney Davis made three saves, earning her 41^st career win, and 22^nd shutout in net.
• Zapata, Hanna Randolph, Skyler Daum, and Ashley Sabatino each contributed two shots.
