HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team took a halftime lead but ultimately couldn't hold on in a 16-14 loss to Hood on Spring Break.

Shannon Rogers had three goals and four assists, including assisting the final two BC goals of the day, both to Anna O'Hara. O'Hara finished with four goals and an assist.

The Eagles also got three goals and an assist from Kristen Stark, and two goals from Sarah Yashinskie.

Dwyer Neal had a game-high nine draw controls and four caused turnovers, while also adding three ground balls.

Bridgewater held a 21-11 advantage on draw controls and won nine of 13 draws in the second half, but Hood was still able to rally from an 11-7 deficit.

Blazers senior Rachael Slater scored six goals, including three straight in the second half to get the Blazers to 14. With the Eagles trailing 15-14 late, Slater assisted Jess Lyons for the clinching goal.

Olivia Carson made six saves in the cage for Bridgewater.

Bridgewater is 0-4 and will play RPI tomorrow at 12:30 to complete the Hilton Head trip. Hood is 4-0 and faces Muhlenberg tomorrow.
