VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Bridgewater rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit Wednesday night to force overtime and the Eagles went on to defeat Virginia Wesleyan, 91-85, in ODAC women's basketball action.

The Eagles are now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the ODAC while the Marlins fall to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Briana Moore led the Eagles with 25 points and Rebecca Harvey added 16. Freshman forward Erika Nettles scored a career-high 13 points and Allie Coburn posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Jayla Harris paced the Marlins with 35 points.

The Eagles trailed by 11 with 6:40 left but started the comeback with a Lindsey Estes three.

A Harvey triple made it a two-point game, and Sydni Carey tied it with a jumper.

Coburn blocked a shot with the Eagles leading by two in the final 10 seconds, but the Marlins retained possession and forced overtime on a Harris basket.

Bridgewater would control the extra period to win 91-85 however. Moore scored the first three field goals of OT, capping that run with a three-pointer that made it 82-76 with two and a half minutes left. Nettles added a jumper on the next possession as BC pulled away.

Bridgewater is back in action Saturday afternoon when the Eagles host Guilford College in ODAC action. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
