Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah notched a goal in the closing minutes Wednesday evening to defeat Bridgewater College 2-1 in ODAC men's soccer action.
Shenandoah (4-5, 1-2 in the ODAC) struck first with a goal late in the first half. Nick Seymour scored in the 38th minute off an assist from Tylor Strozeski, giving the Hornets a 1-0 lead.
Bridgewater evened the score early in the second half. Connor Henderson scored his second goal of the season off an assist from Renato Grgic in the 53rd minute, knotting the score at 1-1. The assist was the second of the season for Grgic.
The score remained deadlocked until the 87:06 mark when Seymour scored his second goal of the night to lift the Hornets to the 2-1 victory.
Bridgewater held a 15-12 edge in shots while the Hornets took five corner kicks compared to two for the Eagles. Eight of Bridgewater's shots were on goal. Logan McGlynn took four shots for the Eagles with two on gpal.
Eagles keeper Mark Davis finished the contest with three saves.
The Eagles, now 2-5-1 overall and 0-3 in the ODAC, return to action Saturday when they host Lynchburg College.
