Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace took advantage of a cold-shooting Bridgewater first half Saturday evening to open up a 34-19 halftime lead and the Pacers went on to defeat the Eagles, 70-49, in non-conference basketball action.
Bridgewater made just 7-of-26 shots (26.9) percent in the first 20 minutes to dig a big hole on the scoreboard. The Eagles hit just 1-of-8 3-pointers and 4-of-9 from the foul line in the opening half.
The Eagles made one run at the Pacers in the second half as they cut the lead to eight with 11 minutes to play. The Pacers answered and quickly pushed the margin back to 15 points with just over nine minutes left.
Romello Crowell led the Eagles with 11 points and DJ Caldwell added 10. The Pacers put four players in double figures, led by Jalen Vince with 15 points.
William Peace also controlled the boards by a 52-37 margin. Logan Seacrist led the Eagles with 10 rebounds.
The Eagles are back in action Tuesday evening when they travel to play Southern Virginia.
