Box Score FREDRICKSBURG, Va. – Outside hitter Cat Snead paced the offense for the Eagles with seven kills and a hitting percentage of .462 but it wasn't enough to lead the Bridgewater volleyball team to a win. Mary Washington defeated the Eagles 3-0 on Wednesday night in the Anderson Center.
The loss drops the Eagles to 1-4 overall, while the Eagles of UMW improve to 2-0, following the 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 victory.
Bridgewater senior Bethany Doman recorded six kills, six digs, and two blocks. Middle hitter Cadie Castle added on five kills with four blocks.
Libero Casey O'Leary chipped in 11 digs, while setter Kylie Graham recorded 23 assists for the Eagles.
Mary Washington junior Kaitylnn Wickersham had 13 kills and senior Karissa Herrick added 11 leading the Eagles to a victory.
Bridgewater travels to Maryland this weekend for the Stevenson Invitational. The first match on Saturday starts at 11 a.m. against the host Mustangsl.
